Job Description:
 A leader in the bespoke packaging field is seeking a Technical / Laboratory Team Leader based in York to join its expanding team. You would be involved in the packaging and branding of household name products, potentially internationally.

As the Technical / Laboratory Team Leader your duties will include:

 

  • Managing the day to day work load of Laboratory Technicians.
  • Managing long term projects and managing a small team.
  • Assisting Laboratory technicians with projects.
  • Ordering of chemicals and components required for projects.
  • Supporting the business function of the technical department.
  • General administration.
  • Tracking and maintaining of records and product specifications.
  • Issuing material and technical information to customers on request.
Qualifications:
 

you will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of working in a laboratory.
  • An understanding of chemistry (A-Level or above).
  • Knowledge of lab work and industrial chemicals.
  • Proven previous professional experience in team management / leadership.
  • Proven high standard of IT literacy including MS Word and Excel
  • Understanding of MSDS (Material Safety Data) sheets.
  • A sound understanding of commercial and manufacturing processes and relevant legislation including Health and Safety.
Benefits:
